Okay, I know I'm very late, but I just recently discovered your blog. And I really like what you write anyway, but with this one you positively won my heart!! BTW, I am Vegetarian, adopted two dogs from an animal shelter and am involved with ARA. FUnnily enough, that seems to make my stand as CF even harder - there MUST be something wrong with me... I live in Germany, and here, the word CHildfree (the German for it, that is) doesn't even exist yet. So, blogs like yours are are fountain in a desert of a breeder pandering society.

As for Talking Caribou Barbie, she is just the GOP's way of saying fuck y'all to strong feminist women. The same way the Dems said fuck y'all with their refusal to give Sen. Clinton their support. (I think they should have held Obama in the wings for another 8 years--I supported his Senate campaign--because he's going to walk into a no-win shitstorm.)

Caribou Barbie is a caricature of GOP maleness--the beauty queen who gets her privilege from doing what the boyz tell her.

I was taught that if someone NEEDS to hunt for meat--like piss poor mountain people--that's one thing. But they're not using helicopters and $10,000 rifles, maybe .22s. I was also taught that if one chooses to kill an animal, one should use no more than the animal has, and, at best weapons made oneself from rocks and trees and stuff.

I have never hunted. Ever. I rescue every bug that comes in the house, and any mouse that gets caught in the Havaheart trap gets a full meal and warm place at the fireside before being released. But anyone who comes into my house without my OK can expect to add their bodily fluids to my walls and floors. No fucking means NO.

From a fellow vegetarian and PETA member.......wonderful post! It's amazing how these pro-lifers only care about the parasite when it's in a woman's body. They don't care about what happens to it after it's birthed? They don't care that there's a hgher chance of kid being abused/neglected (or worse) because the parent didn't want it? They don't care as long as some one didn't kill a few cells probably smaller than what I pass while Aunt Flo is here to visit every month. What a bunch of fucking hypocrites.

Palin is a hypocritical shrew, I highly doubt she even cares for human life.
She waited over 18 hours after her water broke before going to a hospital with Trig. If a poor person did that, you know it'd be neglect at the very least.
She eloped with her husband, and magically Track was born 8 months later.
She kicked her "wonderful and brave" pregnant daughter out of the house, until she realized it would look much, much better to evangelicals if she took her pregnant daughter back.

I don't like Palin either because of the fact she "values" life so damn much, but only one form of life, that of humans. The fact that she also drones on that her daughter made the right "choice" in keeping her child and the fact she wants to take that right away from everyone else is disgusting.

Ha-haaa! Yeahhhh, thank you! I despise Sarah Palin. My husband and I have been donating to Defenders of Wildlife to assist them as they are trying to bring attention to Palin's wholesale approval of "aerial gunning" of wolves and bear. I watched one of the videos and it's so, so sad...wolves running across the open snow, nowhere to hide, and "chop-chop-chopchopchop" BOOM BOOM and the wolf falls twitching and trying to bite at the bullet in its leg or its guts... Damn Palin! Better yet, feed her to the wolves and the polar bears!
